Terms of Service

Acceptance
By creating an account or using Hilo, you accept these terms. If you use it on behalf of a company, you represent that you have the authority to bind it to them.
What the service is
Hilo is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product that lets you connect your own WhatsApp Business API and Instagram channels, centralize conversations, route them to a team, and optionally use AI to reply to or classify messages.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Each organization has a single, immutable owner role, plus admin and agent roles with different access levels.
Your WhatsApp and Instagram channels
Hilo connects to channels you authorize and control through your own Meta Business account. You're responsible for complying with Meta/WhatsApp Business policies (including message template rules, conversation windows, and contact opt-in) when using those channels inside Hilo. Hilo is not responsible for penalties or blocks Meta applies due to misuse of your own channels.
Acceptable use
You may not use Hilo to send spam, unlawful content, or to contact people without a legitimate basis to do so. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this or put the platform or other users at risk.
Plans and payment
Plans, pricing, and payment terms are agreed separately when contracting the service. Plan changes take effect the following billing cycle unless stated otherwise.
Intellectual property
Hilo, its brand, and its software are owned by its creators. You keep ownership of your own data and conversation content; you grant us only the permission necessary to process it and provide the service.
Service availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hilo is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss arising from use of the service, beyond what the Customer paid in the recent months of service.
Termination
You can cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice except in cases of serious or immediate risk.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable advance notice.
